COLOR tip of the month

R

 Tip of the month

What is the 60,30,10 rule?

The 60,30,10 rule of color is the basic rule of color used in interior design.  This rule applies to selecting color by applying a percentage to the colors that will be used. The dominant color should be applied to 60% of the space and is usually applied to the walls. Thirty percent is the secondary color and is typically used on the trim. The remaining 10% is for the accent color in the space. This is a very straight forward way to decide upon a color scheme for any room.  Of course, you also need to decide whether you want to blend or pop?

Are you challenged by this 60,30,10 rule or does this tip helps you understand how color works best in a space. I'd love to hear your thoughts
